An Afro Inspired Musical Collaboration

Updated: Dec 10, 2022

Who doesn’t enjoy a good jam better than when they’re looking good? We know we do!

Music has become a method of self-expression, individuality, spreading a message, etc & has been tied to the hip with fashion since its very beginning.

Music and Fashion influence each other on several points, shifting from one trend to another, year after year. Because of music’s association with fashion and style, its importance in our creative journey has felt nothing more than natural.

Take a look at our Spotify playlist for example. The different Afro sounds from Omah Lay, Major League DJz, Tiwa Savage and Wizkid to mention a few, can be felt from the rhythm that flows in every pair of socks produced. Every line and shape that is in our designs has a musical note tied to it, meaning it has a sense of quality & no wonder @karimthedream recently collaborated with us for Pianoland’s first year anniversary right here in our very own backyard.

The need for us to be associated with music/dance is simply inspired by the mood we also felt when wearing the socks, and we saw it fit to share that with the rest of the world. Tying that into our work environment has also helped us be more creative and more intentional about our brand.
